Hi Visitor.

We’re glad you decided to visit our site today, and when you’re in the area, we invite you to visit our church, which is located on the corner of Etta and Pine Streets in Cornelia, Georgia, just a block off Main. We worship God together every Sunday at 10:30 am, and we’d love to meet you. We are a family of believers, followers of Jesus Christ. We attempt to practice Christian discipleship by loving and serving others. Jesus was a servant: he washed his disciples’ feet, healed the sick, ate with sinners, and welcomed strangers.

First Presbyterian Church of Cornelia is a proud Matthew 25 congregation, which means we strive to love like Jesus loved and to serve like Jesus served. We take seriously the command Jesus gave to the church through Simon Peter, saying, “Simon, do you love me? …Feed my sheep.” (John 21:17)

Jesus also taught his disciples, saying, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35)

We love and care for one another like family, because we are family – brothers and sisters in Christ. We don’t always agree, but we always love. We practice mutual forbearance, because we believe that loving one another is more important than stroking our egos by having our opinions affirmed by our friends.
